Five offline RPGs worth clearing storage for
Offline RPGs are a tricky category. Plenty look promising until you hit a wall that needs a server. We only kept the ones that ran fully in airplane mode from title screen to credits.
Emberfall Chronicles leads our list because of how much your choices matter. Refusing a quest early actually closed doors later, which is unusual for a mobile game. We replayed the opening twice just to see the difference.
Storage is the real cost with these. Most good offline RPGs are large downloads because the whole world ships with the game rather than streaming in. Clear some space before a trip and you're set for hours.
Our advice: read the reviews for save behaviour before committing. A great RPG with stingy checkpoints is a bad travel companion. The ones we recommend all let you save almost anywhere.
